First of all, take a breath. Yes, inflation and rising costs of living inevitably mean society as a whole becomes more budget conscious, however this can work to your advantage if you think about it. One thing the pandemic did for many people was force them to step away from the established order of the status quo. In shaking things up, people had time (through choice or lack thereof) to explore a world where “traditional” jobs were in the minority.

Maybe they were inspired to start their own small business, and now are wondering how to navigate expansion or staying power/relevancy now that things are more “normal” (relatively speaking). Or maybe they were encouraged to go back to school, but especially in this economic climate, want to make sure they’re not paying for anything other than what they need.

What’s a budding business owner, side hustler, or new adult learner to do?

In a world where the world tradition no longer holds the power it once did, it kind of feels like anything is possible within the online education industry- it’s future looks bright if you know the right way to look at it, and the right things to do to get ahead of the curve.

There is a massive opportunity here for you to showcase your offer- never before has non-traditional education been so highly regarded. Gone are the days of college degrees being the end all be all in terms of higher learning. Nowadays, your course could be just the ticket for a small business owner, or an aspiring entrepreneur- think about it. They get a course tailored to them and their needs without all the BS and extra spending for gen-ed nonsense so common with “typical” degrees. They get to learn on their own schedule in their own space for a much more affordable price.

You see where I’m going with this?

That sounds a heck of a lot better than paying $40 grand a year only to be forced to suffer through an Intro to Philosophy course with a bunch of stoners who think Rousseau is the end all be all. I’m not bitter. It’s fine. He’s fine.

Anyway, it’s because people are tightening their belts combined with the fact the pandemic flipped everything on its head, that changes in education have rendered your course invaluable in a way never seen before. If you can get out there in the forefront of this overhaul in the very educational core of our society, the sky's the limit in terms of what you can achieve and create.

You have an opportunity to help shape the future of online education as we know it, and lead people to growth and success like never before, as long as you know how to adapt and market yourself in new ways to accommodate this new world we all live in.

The future is bright, if you’re willing to take into account gaps in the market, and the needs of learners now and going forward. Seize this opportunity to cement yourself into the future of virtual education creation, and don’t look back.

As less traditional paths become the norm, if you get out in front of the educational evolution you stand a good chance of being one of the early names people rely on to catapult themselves forward into the future they want to create (with your help). You could be at the ground level of this new world we’re building, but only if you plan, anticipate and execute with forethought and discernment.
